Dr. John Gonda – DVM

Dr. John Gonda was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. He graduated with a BS in Animal Science from Cal Poly Pomona in 1994 before going on to receive a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from UC Davis in 1998. While there, Dr. Gonda completed the Millman Fellowship in Radiology. Dr. Gonda has a special interest in small animal internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and radiology/ultrasonography.

John’s wife, Sarah, is also a veterinarian, and together they have 2 sons. Their pets include former guide dog in training from Guide Dogs for the Blind named Drama, 3 cats named Kit-Kat, Me-Mow and Fluffy Space Princess. In his free time, Dr. Gonda enjoys photography, hiking, travel, and scuba diving. His award winning underwater photography can be seen decorating the walls of our hospital. Dr. Gonda works closely with both Guide Dogs for the Blind as well as multiple Greyhound rescue organizations. Having owned a former racing greyhound, Bellini, who passed away in 2010, it is a cause that is dear to Dr. Gonda’s heart.

Dr. Sarah Gonda – DVM

Dr. Sarah Gonda was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, but fell in love with Ventura County while visiting with her then-fiancée John (Our own Dr. John Gonda!). She attended UC Davis, receiving a B.S. in Zoology in 1996 and her DVM degree in 2000. Her special interests include internal medicine and oncology. The Gonda family has two young sons as well as three trouble-making cats and a former Guide Dog in training, Drama.

In her free time (when she can find it!), she enjoys reading, quilting, being outdoors and traveling with her family.

Dr. Zachary Snable – DVM

Dr. Snable was born and raised in northern California and always had a passion for science and animals- both companion and wildlife. He pursued these interests and earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University in 2003, majoring in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. Dr. Snable graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with High Honors in 2008. He received his Certificate of Clinical Medicine and Surgery from the University of Florida. After working in a corporate veterinary practice for nearly four years, he realized that his true passion was in forming lasting bonds with pets and families, becoming a partner in decision-making and providing care. This ability to relate to clients has resulted in a loyal following and a reputation as a truly compassionate veterinarian.

Dr. Mike Villano – DVM

Dr. Villano was born in Southern California and raised in Ventura County. He earned his bachelors degree in biology at San Diego State University, and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree (DVM) from UC Davis in 2000. He returned to Ventura County soon after graduating, where he, his wife and 2 daughters currently reside. In his free time, Dr. Villano enjoys mountain biking, soccer and traveling.
